This DIY all natural cream for sore muscles is a total life saver for me! Between gardening, maintaining a house hold and taking care of my son at times my lower back really aches. It has just two ingredients: coconut oil and Young Living Panaway essential oil. Panaway essential oil is a blend of Wintergreen EO, Helichrysum EO, Clove EO, and Peppermint EO. It relieves swelling & discomfort from sore muscles, muscle spasms, bumps and bruises. Such an amazing oil, I would be crazy to let my home be without it!
Making this cream is simple and doesn’t take long at all. Just measure half a cup of coconut oil and melt it (coconut oil melts at 76 degrees, so you could set it outside on a hot day or melt it directly on the stove top- I chose to melt it on the stove top). Once the coconut oil is melted, add 10 drops Panaway, mix it up, put it in the container of your choice and let it sit. If your home is below 76 degrees, it will return to a solid/cream by itself in a couple hours. I wanted to speed up the process so I put mine in the refrigerator, then took it out and let it set at room temperature so it wasn’t cold and hard. Once you have the cream ready, apply it directly to the area that is experiencing pain. For information on how to purchase Panaway and other Young Living essential oils, feel free to contact me!
