What’s the difference between the white and colorful labels?

Vitality (white) labels vs. colorful labels

What’s the difference between the white and colorful labels?

Long story short- They are the SAME product! If you order a bottle of Lemon Vitality and a bottle of Lemon, both bottles possess the same therapeutic benefits. For the record, both are safe to use in ALL THREE WAYS.

Not all essential oils are safe/recommended for internal use. If you see that we carry a certain oil in both the regular line AND the vitality line, that’s one way to know what oils are safe to use in all three ways. Another way to know is to reference the GRAS chart!

Long story with allll the details for curious analytical minds:
Before the summer of 2015, there was no vitality line. Oils that could be used in all three ways (topical, aromatic, & internal) were labeled with directions for all three ways to use on one single bottle.

Fast forward to the Summer of 2015:
The FDA asked Young Living–and other health companies, + every other essential oil company–to monitor the claims that their distributors make about their products.
And fear not, it’s not a bad thing 🙂
Around that same time in the summer of 2015, young living revamped the starter kit & replaced Joy, Citrus Fresh, & Tea Tree with RC, Digize & Copaiba.

When they did this, the bottles were no longer labeled in all three ways to use. The FDA wanted a clear difference established between products that are for topical/aromatic use, and products that are for internal use.

Fast Forward to Janurary of 2016- Young Living launched the vitality line! With the same quality oils that young living has always provided & will always continue to provide–but now with a white label & directions for INTERNAL use.

>>Recap<<

The FDA no longer allowed for the oils to be labeled in all three ways to use on the same individual bottle of oil–to them, it’s not fathomable for a SINGLE product to be safe+beneficial to eat/drink, apply to the skin, AND inhale.

Now, there is a clear difference established between products that are for topical/aromatic use (colorful labeled bottles of oil) & products that are for dietary/internal use/consumption.

If you see that we carry a certain oil in both the regular line AND the vitality line, that’s one way to know what oils are safe to use in all three ways.

Another way to know if an oil is safe for internal use is to look it up on the GRAS chart, which you can find in any Essential Oil reference book.
